Biography

Sergey V. Bogdanov, Correspondent Member of the Russian Academy of Science (RAS) and adviser for RAS, was born in 1921. He has published more than 180 papers and 12 inventions and has made important contributions to physics of ferroelectrics and piezoelectrics. Sergey V. Bogdanov graduated from Moscow Energy Institute in 1947, received his Ph.D. degree in 1951 from the Physical Institute of Academy of Science (FIAN), and received his Doctor Science degree in 1965. From 1965 to 1989, he ran the Laboratory for electronphonon interaction in the Institute of Semiconductor Physics of the Siberian Branch RAS.
