Biography

Anupam Khajuria joined United Nations Centre for Regional Development in 2014 as a Researcher. Prior to this position, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Civil Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT), Tokyo, Japan and worked as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India and worked as a Guest Researcher in Department of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering at Osaka University, Japan. While completing PhD, she worked as a Research Assistant in Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) - Kansai Research Centre, Kobe, Japan. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering in 2010 from the Department of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering, Osaka University, Japan.

Research Interest

Sustainable Development, Resource Efficiency, Waste Management, 3Rs (Reduce-Reuse-Recycle) policies and strategies, DPSIR model, Circular Economy, Planetary Boundaries, Artificial Intelligence, 4.0 Industry, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environment management, Sustainable consumption and production (SCP), Green recovery, policies and strategies toward the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals.
