The short communication narrates the severity of malaria in developing and developed countries especially in the tropical areas. The treatment for malaria is a thrust area of research due to the evolution of drug resistant malarial parasites. The current scenario needs the development of new highly effective antimalarials that can cure malaria with minimal side effects. The evolution and advantages of one such drug named DDD107498 is described in this article.
