   The authors made recommendations based on the results of pharmacodynamics/kinetics of Oxycodone relying solely on drug levels in one patient, especially one with ESRD and concomitant liver disease. No measurement of Oxycodone metabolites (Oxymorphone and Noroxycodone) was done, especially since these metabolites can be active in ESRD population. It is difficult to draw conclusions on Oxycodone metabolism in the absence of further information (CYP3A4 and CYP2D6 inhibitors and inducers).
