Abstract

The introduction of new-generation anticancer agents has transformed cancer treatment, offering targeted and effective therapeutic options with the potential to significantly improve patient outcomes. However, the success of these agents is often influenced by their pharmacokinetic interactions, which can affect their efficacy and safety profiles. This review provides a detailed analysis of the pharmacokinetic interactions associated with contemporary anticancer therapies, including small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, and immune checkpoint inhibitors. We examine how these interactions can alter drug metabolism, absorption, distribution, and excretion, and discuss their implications for clinical practice. Key insights are drawn from recent studies and case reports, highlighting both beneficial and detrimental interactions. Strategies for optimizing drug regimens and minimizing adverse effects are also discussed.
