Method Development and Validation of Anti-cancer Drug: Doxorubicin

Abstract
Doxorubicin is the one of the most potent antitumor drug of Bone Cancer, Breast cancer. A simple and sensitive HPLC method was developed and validated for the assay of doxorubicin. The method used a column C 18 (250mm*4.6mm) with a UV. Detector is 254nm wavelength. The mobile phase consists of buffer solution (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate & OrthoPhosphoric Acid): Acetonitrile. Flow rate was found 1.0ml/min. All the system suitability parameter was found according to the ICH standards. The method was extensively validated for specificity, linearity, accuracy and precision, recovery robustness. The present assay of drugs was found to be in range.
