Abstract
A group of Lamiaceae that has caused confusion over its generic boundaries are those species belonging to the complex surrounding the genera Satureja, Calamintha, Micromeria, Clinopodium and Acinos. In the current study, morphology characteristics of two endemic subspecies of Clinopodium troodi (Post) Govaerts, subsp. grandiflorum (Hartvig & �?�?.Strid) Govaerts and subsp. vardaranum (Leblebici) Govaerts, previously treated as Acinos in Flora of Turkey, is studied for the first time and detailed descriptions and illustrations of general appearance of plants and their, leaf, bract, flower, calyx, corolla and fruit shapes are described and illustrated.Biography
Ayla Kaya has completed his PhD from Anadolu University. She is a Professor and works at Department of Pharmaceutical Botany, Faculty of Pharmacy of Anadolu University and Head of Department. She has published more than 40 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an Editorial Board Member of repute.
