Objective: To demonstrate a small fenestra stapedotomy technique modified from laser stapedotomy technique.
Background: Small fenestra stapedotomies are well established and were proven to give better hearing result and had fewer
complications compared to the total removal of the stapes footplate. This technique can be further modified to reduce the
possibilities of complications such as floating foot plate and incus dislocation. In this presentation we demonstrate a flexible
technique modified according to the footplate exposure and accessibility. This technique is safe and effective with minimal
vestibular upset.
